That state of rest or balance due to the equal action of opposing forces… but is it a feeling of rest, or peace? Is it like being pinned in place? Static? Paralyzed? We are all in a state of equilibrium regardless of how aware of that we are, but it is a dynamic equilibrium. Thankfully we are in motion.
Sometimes setting and achieving a lesser goal is all it takes to reposition yourself to a place where the greater goal doesn’t look so daunting.
As a smoker, I might be automatically assumed to be a “self-saboteur”… engaged in a slow deliberate suicide. I’ve even wonderered it myself, having no other clear explanation as to why I smoke. That’s what our minds do with any unknown – is to come up with a theory – something that makes sense. Upon giving it some actual honest consideration, I now have to state emphatically that this is the wrong answer to the puzzle. It doesn’t even really make any sense. I’ve come up with answers that DO make sense, and which I think will be far more useful toward becoming a non-smoker. (Coming Soon)
That there is a philosophy tab on the menu bar does not necessarily mean that a certain philosophy will be imposed upon the user of the app in order for it to work for them. There are though, certain philosophies underlying and shaping the app as a quitting smoking tool. Read More
